Cookies on the Smoker Taste AMAZING!
Avid smokers (I'm talking smoker grills) will tell you that everything tastes better smoked. Some who may be considering getting into smoking, may feel a bit intrepid, because of the time and prep work that goes into smoking. You hear about people waking up early to get some meat on the smoker, that won't be ready until dinner! This can be intimidating for sure, but it isn't always the case. Yes, slow roasted meat tastes great, and just falls apart, but you can cook up some pretty amazing baked goods in no time at all too!
Let's talk about a C-A-L Ranch favorite. Cookies on the Smoker are easy, quick, and delicious. When you are considering baking you want to match your pellets to the task. Most bags of pellets will let you know what they are good for, and apple or cherry are great for baking. We like apple for cookies. It adds a perfect flavor.
What you need:
- Your favorite choice of cookie dough
- Apple or cherry pellets
- Smoker (We used the Camp Chef SmokePro SG)
- Cookie sheet
How it works:
Make sure the smoker is filled with apple or cherry flavored pellets Set temperature to 350 degrees. (Pro grilling tip: after you've grilled your dinner, through the cookies on for a quick dessert.)
Place cookie dough in balls on the cookie sheet with room for them to spread.
Place the cookie sheet with the cookies in the smoker.
Cook for 15 minutes.
Enjoy... and maybe share.
Cookies on the smoker will be a hit at your next patio party or family gathering.
