Quick and Easy Sweet & Spicy Hungry Jack Hashbrowns
You may have tried Hungry Jack Hashbrowns. If you haven't you really are missing out. They are ready in minutes, just add water and fry them up to get diner-style hashbrowns for the family. Sometimes you want a little variety though. Wait until you try these Sweet & Spicy Hungry Jack Hashbrowns. They are seriously easy to make, and taste great as a side or in a breakfast burrito. We know some people who even whip them up as a midnight snack.
What you need:
- Your favorite flavor of Hungry Jack Hashbrown Potatoes
- 1/4 cup your favorite barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup of your favorite hot sauce
- 2 1/2 cups of hot water
How it works:
Mix the hot sauce and barbecue sauce with the hot water.
Open the Hungry Jack Hashbrown Potatoes carton and add the hot water mixture.
Close the carton and let stand for 12 minutes. After 11 minutes, pre-heat pan on high with 2 tablespoons of butter.
Empty the contents into a non-stick skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Let cook on high until crispy and brown. Add 2 more tablespoons of butter. Flip and cook until golden brown. Repeat until desired crispness.
Serve as a side, enjoy as a treat, or serve in a mind blowing breakfast burrito.
