This sweatshirt utilizes water-resistant technology, which causes water to bead up and roll off before it is absorbed. The cotton and polyester fabric blend provides a layer of warmth that wicks moisture away and dries quickly.

The three-piece hood is lined with jersey fabric, a weave of cotton fabric, that is stretchy, flexible, and provides insulation. Jersey-lined, the hood is equipped with a drawstring opening allowing you to tighten it around your face if needed. This sweatshirt offers a comfortable loose fit that gives you both mobility and warmth. Bottom hem and cuffs of the sweatshirt are rib-knitted to provide a close fit around your waist and wrists to guard against the cool air and keep the heat inside. The front handwarmer pocket has a sewn-on patch of the Carhartt logo and features a hidden security pocket inside.

The ratio of cotton to polyester of the fabric may vary with the shell having either 75% cotton and 25% polyester or 70% cotton and 30% polyester. The hood lining will be either 100% cotton, 90% cotton and 10% polyester, or 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
