‘Rouge Cardinal’ has brilliant 5-6” velvety, deep crimson flowers with white filaments in the center. This profuse summer bloomer is a deciduous, semi-woody vine which typically grows 8-12’. It may be trained to cover a wall, trellis, or a fence, providing a blanket of flowers for a breathtaking display. Plant your clematis in a sunny location and cover the root zones with stone or mulch to keep the plant cool. Prune the first spring after planting to 6-12” from the ground.
