DeGroot Gladiolus, Vista Corm
‘Vista’ adds gorgeous color to your garden with bi-color lavender blossoms with a splash of orchid in the center! Gladiolus are a garden favorite, due to their elegant flower spikes and sword like foliage. They are easy to grow and require little maintenance. Their long stems allow you to grow armloads of flowers, making them perfect for small spaces and container gardens. Gladiolus are a stunning cut flower and typically last a week or more in a vase. They also make a beautiful addition to a shrub border or perennial garden. Two weeks before the last frost of the spring, plant in a sunny location in well-drained or sandy loam soil. Space plants 5” apart. For continuous summer color, plant at biweekly intervals. Stake for best appearance and straightest stems. In zones 7 or lower, lift corms from the ground after the first frost and store them in a cool, dry place during the winter months. Before storing, allow the corms 1-2 days to dry and gently brush off excess soil.
