A heavy duty splitting maul with the tool head drop forged and tempered from S2 tool steel. Designed for efficiently cutting firewood with an axe head combined with an oversized strike face for use with splitting wedges. The entire tool is manufactured to meet or exceed American ANSI/ASME specifications. Powder coated black head for corrosion resistantance. Chamfered strike face to prevent to tool head chipping.The head is securely assembled to the solid core fiberglass handle with an extemely secure wedge and epoxy process.
