We want to share this sweet 23-year-old lady’s story with you. Lucy was rescued back in 2006 after being found starving to death. Under the care and supervision of the San Luis Obispo Animal Services Dept. and the Horse Emergency Evacuation Team (HEET), she was rehabilitated at Redwings Horse Rescue & Sanctuary while being fed Purina® Equine Senior®.*

Her owner surrendered her to Redwings Horse Rescue & Sanctuary. She was deemed “unadoptable” due to being 25 years old with severe scarring from barbed wire.
