Ferry-Morse Blue Lake Stringless Bean - 5 lb

The fleshy, tender pods of Blue Lake Stringless FM1K grow to about 5 1/2 inches long. These stringless beans have mild flavor, are high in vitamins A, B, and C, and make excellent snap beans. They are also often dried on the vines for their clear white shell beans.

Instructions:  Sow seeds when the soil is warm and all danger of frost is past. Plant 2 seeds every 4 inches. Soaking seeds overnight before planting will speed germination. Thin to 1 plant every 4 inches when the plants have 4 leaves. Pick early and often to encourage production. Sow every 2 weeks until 8 weeks before fall frost.

Suggestions:  Avoid working around beans when wet; this may spread diseases. When weeding, hoe gently because beans are shallow-rooted. Mulch plants only after thinning.
